The Erasmus+ CODICIS project, in which FIMA participates, has started the distance training of the trainer training course in management and conservation of archives and heritage libraries, with more than fifty students from three countries (Mexic, Peru and Bolivia) coming from its university centres.

In this training in bibliographic and documentary heritage, professors Amadeu Pons (Introduction to documentation) and Jesús Gascón (Introduction to cataloguing) participate, along with Concepción Rodríguez, Carina Rey and Lluís Agustí, who are in charge of the first module that is It is impartint in these moments. The training will continue online until the end of each day.

Furthermore, teams of professors from our Faculty of Catània (Sicília) will be sent to visit the Latin American partners and complete the training with face-to-face sessions in the three countries. In this phase we will be in charge of training the trainers who will then be in charge of training the librarians and archives in each of the six participating Latin American university centers, in a cascade training that is a key element of the sustainability of the project.
