The project Erasmus + CODICIS has begun the distance training of the Training Course for trainers in management and conservation of archives and heritage libraries with more than fifty students from three countries (Mexico, Peru and Bolivia) from six university centers. Professors from the University participate in this training in bibliographic and documentary heritage. University of Barcelona, A. Pons (Introduction to documentation) and J. Gascón (Introduction to cataloguing), as well as C. Rodríguez, C. Rey and Ll. Agustí is in charge of the first module that is being taught. In the second module, which is currently being developed, professors P. Rueda, S. Inserra, M. Baró and N. Jornet take part.

Training will continue online until the end of the year. In addition, teams of European teachers from Barcelona and Catania will be sent to visit the Latin American partners and complete the training with face-to-face sessions in the three countries. In this phase we will be in charge of training the trainers who will then be in charge of training the librarians and archivists in each of the six participating Latin American university centers, in a cascade training that is a key element of the sustainability of the project.
