M. Térmens and P. Rueda visit the Universidad Panamericana with the CODICIS project

Professors M. Térmens and P. Rueda have traveled to the Universidad Panamericana (Guadalajara, Mexico) to participate in the activities of the European project CODICIS: Strengthening capacities for the Recovery and Conservation of Documentary and Bibliographic Heritage in Latin America on August 29 to September 1.

During their stay they have participated in the steering committee that is in charge of the design and development of the project and have also participated in a regional meeting. The committee has been key to advancing the management of the Training Course for trainers in management and conservation of archives and heritage libraries coordinated by the University of Barcelona with the University of Catania.

In the regional seminar Conference on documentary and bibliographic heritage: Sources and research techniques, the two professors participated with invited presentations. Professor M. Térmens has dealt with “Digitization of archives and documents” and Professor P. Rueda with “Sources for heritage studies in libraries”.

These seminars are organized in each of the six Latin American headquarters of the participating universities and will take place during the 2022-2023 academic year.
