Pamela Cabala<\/strong>, project coordinator\u00a0<strong>CODICES<\/strong>\u00a0, highlighted the importance of the project to preserve the library material and heritage archives of the city. He also offered words of\u00a0<strong><em>posthumous tribute to Dr. Eusebio Quiroz, emeritus professor who in August 2022 donated his library.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThe CODICIS project is concerned with the protection of heritage and culture, which helps us understand our identity as Peruvians. &quot;The training time has been hard work, now our graduates have the task of training librarians and archivists,&quot;<\/strong>\u00a0stated Mg. Cabala.<\/p>\n<p>During the ceremony, the authorities congratulated the graduates of the training course and recognized the efforts of those in charge of the project.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Dr. Alonso Quintanilla, rector of UCSP,<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0was in charge of directing the final words of the event, and he highlighted the importance of the project that\u00a0<strong>\u201cit makes us come back into contact with books from another perspective, a scientific and poetic perspective.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><strong>which today is provided to us by the CODICIS project\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0he referred.<\/p>\n<p>He also added that what the training course has done is confirm the affection and love for books.<\/p>\n<p>He also expressed that\u00a0<strong>CODICES <\/strong>It is the largest project financed by the European Union through its Erasmus program, which is managed by the university; Therefore, it is essential to have a course that bears fruit and that has visibility in the midst of our university together with the grouped universities, thus demonstrating the responsibility that the\u00a0<strong>UCSP<\/strong>\u00a0facing this project.<\/p>\n<p>The second part of this project includes the implementation of a conservation and restoration laboratory among the affiliated universities, these laboratories will allow the\u00a0<em><strong>training in conservation and management of documentary cultural heritage.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>The project is important for our region because there is heritage to rescue and care for throughout our country.
