As part of the objectives of the CODICIS Project, in the second half of 2023, the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of Latin America, partners of the project, are teaching courses focused on the management and conservation of libraries and heritage archives in order to transmit to students, teachers and professionals the knowledge obtained with the participation of European HEIs throughout 2022.

Thus, between August 28 and September 6, Mr. Christian Sánchez Pozos, Head of the Cataloging area of the José María Lafragua Historical Library, participated as a teacher at the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (La Paz) and the Universidad Católica Boliviana “San Pablo”, Tarija headquarters, teaching the module dedicated to the cataloging of ancient books. 21 students participated in the first venue and 25 in the second. With the intention of working directly with the existing heritage funds in both cities, the La Paz course was held in the facilities of the Municipal Public Library; and in Tarija in the Ecclesial Documentation Center belonging to the Franciscan convent.
